Don Hooper

Don Hooper is a Bristol based Wildlife Photographer who likes to concentrate on subjects that can be found close to home. However, he has travelled to Tanzania to photograph the animals on the Serengeti, the Brown Bears and Eagles in Finland and Norway and his most recent trip was to capture images of Bengal Tigers in India.

A selection of local wildlife images taken by Don in the region are currently on display in the Domestic Arrivals area of the airport,a sample can be seen below.

'To capture these creaturs on film is a bigger challenge than taking photographs of any big cat or exotic species and takes many patient hours and lots of field craft skills to get close enough to record them in their natural habitat.'

One of the pictures you see on display, The Cygnets, is also featured in the BBC's Countryfile 2006 Calendar where Don was a finalist in their annual photographic competition.
