Bristol International announces new Turkish Flights

(06/10/08)

Tour operator Holidays 4 U has announced a programme of flights from Bristol International Airport for summer 2009, underlining the demand for holidays from the South West's regional airport.

The Turkey specialist will operate a weekly flight to Dalaman on Saturdays from May next year, meeting demand for a weekend flight from Bristol International to the gateway to Turkey's Mediterranean coast. Holidays will be available in resorts including Marmaris, Icmeler, Turunc, Olu Deniz, Hisaronu, Ovacik, Calis Beach, Sarigerme, Akyaka and Kalkan. Bristol International becomes the eleventh UK departure airport for the holiday company's customers.

Shaun Browne, Head of Commercial Aviation and Route Development at Bristol International Airport, said:

"Turkey is one of the most popular destinations for holiday-makers flying from Bristol International and demand has been growing for a weekend departure. Holidays4U have recognized the strength of the market in the South West, and we believe the weekly Dalaman flight will soon establish itself as a popular option for those looking for an affordable and convenient summer break."

Karen Vyse, Managing Director of Holidays 4 U, said:

"We know that for many people flying from their local airport is the most important factor when choosing a holiday, so we are delighted to have this opportunity to fly from Bristol in 2009."
